There are 12 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Sangamon County, according to Saturday's daily tally from the Sangamon County Department of Public Health and the four major healthcare organizations in Springfield. This includes one death. Two of the newest cases are from residents outside the county,

Of the new cases, one is a Sangamon County resident, who is recovering at home. Another is from Menard County, and a third is from Morgan County.
Currently, three patients with the disease are hospitalized at Memorial Medical Center.
The ages of those with confirmed cases range from 21 years to 99.
A total of 410 tests have been completed, and of those 313 have been negative. Another 85 are pending, including eighteen patients at Memorial and HSHS St. John’s Hospital.
