Violent Crime Numbers Can't Tell Full Story Of Peoria, Expert Says

2019 was a violent year in Peoria. The city recorded 25 homicides — the highest number in more than 30 years.

Dr. Lisa Snow is a community outreach coordinator for Lurie Children's Hospital and tracks data for the Illinois Violent Death Reporting System (IVDRS). She retired from as assistant chief of the Peoria Police Department in 2018.
