A west-side intersection was reopened Tuesday after a semitractor trailer carrying agricultural chemicals crashed, authorities said.
The rollover crash happened around 2:30 p.m. Monday, Bloomington Police said. The intersection of Market Street and Wylie Drive was completely closed. Traffic westbound on Market from Trucker's Lane was slow and down to one lane.
An agricultural chemical (called THPS 75%) was on board the semi, officials said. The Bloomington Fire Department remained on scene until 6:30 a.m. Tuesday while a contracted cleanup company offloaded the trailer and mitigated any spilled product.
"Thank you to the community for having patience while we worked on mitigating this chemical from the roadway," the Bloomington Fire Department said in a statement.
