In the weeks since Election Day, states around the country are certifying their election results despite President Donald Trump’s persistent attempts to refute them. Meanwhile, the Biden transition team is moving forward with its recent cabinet picks and plans for tackling the coronavirus pandemic. Still, Trump’s legal team continues to challenge the legitimacy of the election in places like Pennsylvania and Georgia.
For the Senate races in Georgia, it will come down to an election run-off on January 5. But Republicans in the state worry the President’s effort to cast doubt on the election could hurt voter turnout. Now, as President Trump takes aim at Governor Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, it could cost state Republicans both seats.
