Leah Marlene fans in Bloomington-Normal are showing their support during her "American Idol" run.

Normal West Community High School is hosting a watch party to cheer on alum Leah Marlene as she tries to become the next American Idol.

Marlene advanced to the show’s top 5 last Sunday with her renditions of "Electric Love" by Børns and "Sanctuary" by Nashville Cast. Fans will choose three finalists on Sunday's show, with those performers each getting a hometown visit as part of the show.

Much of Bloomington-Normal has become enthralled by Marlene’s sudden rise to stardom during her Idol run over the last month.

Marlene graduated from Normal West in 2019.

The school plans to host a pre-party from 5-6:30 p.m. Sunday in the school’s south parking lot. The event will include food trucks, concessions, face painting and games.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The show airs from 7-9 p.m.

Tickets for the watch party cost $2.
