Heartland Community College in Normal.

A series of town hall meetings will help Heartland Community College gather input on the institution's path forward over the next 10 years.

The goal of the meetings is to gather feedback from residents to ensure the college's long-term strategic plan meets the district's needs.

Heartland identified five college-wide priorities and goals in its current strategic plan from September 2021. Among those priorities is to “promote student access and success” and to “create and model a systemic culture of equity, diversity and inclusion.”

The first of the four in-person town halls is scheduled for March 20 at Heartland’s Lincoln campus. Additional meetings are set for March 26 at Bloomington Public Library, March 31 in the Community Commons Building on the Normal Campus, and April 10 at the Pontiac campus.

A virtual Zoom meeting also will be held on March 24. Each event begins at 5 p.m. and is scheduled for one hour.

More information about the town halls and the strategic plan can be found on the Heartland website.
