Heartland Community College has announced the third candidate for its presidential search.
Sherry Jones currently works for GameStop's Technology Brands Division, where she is chief operating officer. She previously worked for Tooele Applied Technology College in Salt Lake City, the online Independence University, and Beam Reach Education.
There will be a community and alumni open session with Jones from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 1. The session will be at the Astroth Community Education Center, Room 2210.
Waubonsee Community College's Melinda Tejada and Heartland's Doug Minter are the other presidential candidates that have been announced. The unannounced fourth and final candidate is set to visit Heartland on March 5.
Current Heartland President Rob Widmer will retire this summer.
