WGLT's 15th annual Radio Faces was one of the best ever, thanks to the insightful and entertaining remarks from our headliner, NPR's Korva Coleman.
Hundreds of WGLT's closest friends (including corporate supporters and individual contributors) joined us at the Marriott in Uptown Normal. Some of our favorite photos from the Oct. 18 event, presented by COUNTRY Financial, are in the gallery above.
Also recognized were WGLT student reporters Tiffani Jackson and Darnysha Mitchell, who were named the inaugural Korva Coleman Scholars. Coleman waived her speaker’s fee and instead asked Illinois State University to invest the money into scholarships for student journalists from underrepresented groups.
