People who are looking after a loved one with dementia or Alzheimer's don't always recognize they are caregivers, but McLean County caregiver support groups are here to educate and ensure people get the supports they need to do the job.

Chris Wellin, an expert on aging from Illinois State University, said the U.S. needs to better support, fund, and integrate paid caregiving, even for those families who seek to carry much of the responsibility themselves.
