One Person Dead After Shooting On Bloomington's West Side

UPDATED 5 p.m. | One person was shot and killed early Wednesday on Bloomington's west side, police said.

The shooting happened around 4:45 a.m. in the 800 block of West Jefferson Street, Bloomington Police said. Officers responding found Egerton Dover, 20, of Bloomington, who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the McLean County coroner's office.

The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made, police said.

Dover, a 2016 University High School graduate, is the seventh person killed by gunfire in Bloomington in 2018, police said. Eight others were shot and survived this year in Bloomington.
