Suspect Pleads Not Guilty In Drug-Induced Homicide

Bloomington Police

A 24-year-old from Rantoul has pleaded not guilty in the drug-induced homicide of a Bloomington man.

Troy D. McBride's arraignment was Friday in McLean County court. He's accused of supplying the heroin and fentanyl that killed James Dingman, 41, in March. That's one of a dozen overdose deaths so far this year in McLean County.

McBride also faces six counts related to manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance. He was arrested last week in Urbana after being indicted.

McBride is being held on $1 million bond.
