Retired Supreme Court Chief Justice arren Burger died this morning of congestive heart failure. He held the osition of Chief Justice from 1969 to 1986, and was responsible for the final pinion that forced former President Richard Nixon to surrender White House tape ecordings and papers for use as evidence in the Watergate scandal trial.
