Frank McCourt on 'Angela's Ashes'

Noah Adams talks to writer Frank McCourt, who has published his first book at the age of 66. It chronicles his childhood in Limerick, Ireland -- years spent in abject poverty. His father spent his wages on liquor; he lived in a cramped home on a decrepit back lane; he vividly remembers the gnawing pain of hunger. But along with the bitterness and anger, he also writes of childhood games and having a vivid imagination, and of his passionate love for books. He came to America when he was 18, and now teaches high school in New York City.
