My Father

Commentator Kristine Holmgren remembers her father. She remembers a time when everything in his life was under control--a steady job, a monthly house payment and a car--he had survived World War II and had faith in his country and his God. As the years passed, and the world changed, he stayed the same...then one day he left the family and moved to L.A. In a picture of her father she keeps in her wallet, she sees a man whose life was open but who was unable to understand he could not control his own destiny.
