Liane is joined by John Kornblum, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Canadian Affairs, to discuss the latest attempts to pressure Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic ( SLOH-bow-dahn mih-LOH-seh-vitch) into accepting opposition victories in municipal elections. This past week, Milosevic conceded an opposition victory in Serbia's second largest city, Nis (NEESH). Secretary Kornblum has said the international community will not impose full sanctions on Serbia. But, the U-S is looking at other ways to punish the Communist leader for failing to embrace democracy. 5:34.
