Flexitech Inc. plans to close its Bloomington assembly plant, putting 139 people out of work.
Flexitech, which makes automotive parts and accessories, filed a notice with the state about the layoff. The first layoff date is listed as June 1, 2021.
It's unclear why the plant is closing. Flexitech did not return messages seeking comment. An employee hung up on a WGLT reporter when contacted Tuesday.
The Flexitech plant is located at 1719 E. Hamilton Road, Bloomington.
