A 31-year-old Washington man was sentenced to 13 years in prison today by a federal judge in Peoria.
U.S. District Judge Michael Mihm sentenced Eric Ingram after he pleaded guilty to receiving sexually explicit images of children through Facebook.
The social media company notified the Washington Police Department of an exchange of messages between Ingram and a 15-year-old which contained sexual images. When interviewed by police, the minor said Ingram asked her to take the photos and send them via Facebook.
Police seized electronic content from Ingram's Washington home after executing a search warrant.
Ingram was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service in October 2018.
