The Peoria Police Department has made an arrest in connection with yesterday’s stabbing in the North Valley neighborhood.
Officers responded to the 700 block of Alexander around 5:30 p.m. They found a 43-year-old man with life-threatening stab injuries to the neck and back. The suspect ran from the scene.
Police said 35-year-old David Stone of West Peoria was identified as the suspect. The stabbing stemmed from a previous incident between Stone and the victim, police said.
Stone was located and arrested for aggravated battery. He was taken to the Peoria County Jail.
The victim remains in the hospital.
