A Washington man has died from his injuries after an accident Wednesday morning.
The Illinois State Police said Jerry Bedwell, 76, and his wife, Linda, 74, both of Washington, collided with a semi tractor-trailer on McClugage Road, just north of the intersection with Spring Creek Road, around 9:30 a.m.
Jerry Bedwell reportedly failed to yield to the semi. Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said Bedwell died at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center around 10:30 p.m. Friday. He suffered multiple blunt force injuries in the crash.
Linda Bedwell was pronounced dead at the scene. The semi driver suffered non life-threatening injuries.
Toxicology came back negative for Jerry Bedwell. There will be no autopsy.
