What They Said: House Impeachment Inquiry Vote

He says the current impeachment inquiry fails to afford Trump the same due process that presidents in past inquiries were granted.
The Peoria Republican says Congress should be focusing on the USMCA trade deal, the opioid crisis, and lowering prescription drug prices instead of impeachment.
Congresswoman Cheri Bustos says today’s vote formalizing the House impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump provides a “transparent and public” path for the next steps in the process.
The Democrat called on her colleagues on both sides of the aisle to uphold the rule of law and also continue their work on issues of bipartisan concern like healthcare and infrastructure.
Bustos voted for the inquiry.
