Peoria police have arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with a fatal shooting over the weekend.
Talya Zolicoffer was taken into custody on Tuesday after a traffic stop on West Farmington Road, said police spokeswoman Amy Dotson.
Zolicoffer was jailed on first-degree murder and aggravated robbery charges related to the death of 21-year-old Terrance Dunigan on Saturday.
A 16-year-old male was also arrested for first-degree murder and aggravated robbery in connection with the incident on Thursday night.
Police were called to an apartment complex in the 3300 block of W.Woodhill Lane and found Dunigan with a gunshot wound to his side.
Dunigan was pronounced dead at the scene. Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said Dunigan likely died instantly.
