Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says 28-year-old Donald Allen of Peoria was the man killed in a shooting Saturday night on the city's South Side.
Harwood said Allen suffered a single gunshot wound to the head. He declined to name the weapon's caliber.
Allen was shot in the 1500 block of South Faraday just after 11:15 p.m.
The incident remains under investigation. No suspect information is available.
This is the city's ninth reported homicide of 2020.
