On Deck - Monday, January 11, 2021

WCBU's On Deck has everything you need to know to start your day for Monday, January 11, 2021. Our top story is about how many Tri-County area public safety personnel are among the first wave of people getting their COVID-19 vaccinations. You'll also hear from Tazewell County Republican Chairman Jim Rule. The chairs of five different county Republican parties will meet later this month to appoint a replacement for former State Senator Bill Brady. The votes in the process will be weighted based on the amount of votes Bill Brady received in each county in the 2018 election. Jim Rule, as chairman of the Tazewell County Republicans, controls over one third of the appointment vote. WCBU reporter Christine Hatfield spoke to Rule about how the process works and about what he's looking for in a new state senator.WCBU's On Deck for Monday, January 11, 2021.
