Tri-County Area Reports 3 New COVID-19 Deaths, Bringing Toll to 653

The Tri-County area is reporting 217 new COVID-19 cases and three additional deaths linked to the coronavirus on Wednesday.

That brings the case count up to 43,306 since the pandemic began; 653 people have died.

The most recent deaths are a Peoria County woman in her 80s, a Tazewell County man in his 30s, and a Tazewell man in his 70s.

Currently, 143 43 people are hospitalized in the Peoria area for COVID-19, including 41 in the ICU.
