The new cases were found in a batch of about 3,000 test results returned over the weekend, according to data from the McLean County Health Department (MCHD).

To date, there have been 17,973 COVID cases reported in McLean County. The positivity rate (7-day rolling) is 3.5%—down from 4.2% on Friday. That's the lowest it's been since March 22, but is still above the statewide average of 2.9%.

The number of county residents hospitalized with COVID is up to 35—an increase of three patients over the weekend.

Intensive care bed use is up to 92%. Bloomington-Normal hospital bed capacity improved overall, with 18% of all beds available.

The active caseload dipped back below 400. Currently, there are 361 people isolating at home. An additional 108 people are now considered recovered.

MCHD reports just under 129,500 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in McLean County. That’s an increase of about 3,000 doses over the weekend.

About 59,000 residents are fully vaccinated, according to state data, or just over 34% of the population.
