Two teenagers were arrested Sunday after a ride-share driver was shot in the leg on Bloomington's east side.

The shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. near 7 Pine Cone Court, a few blocks from Veterans Parkway and East Washington Street, police said. The ride-share driver was there for a pickup when he was met by three teenage males. One of them pushed the driver to the ground and shot him, police said, adding the teens then stole the man's car.

The driver, 36, was hit in the leg and taken to the hospital. The injury is not life-threatening, said BPD.

Two of the suspects (ages 17 and 18) were arrested after an attempted traffic stop in Country Club Hills, just south of Chicago, police said. A third suspect is still at large.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact BPD detective Joshua Swartzentruber at (309) 434-2476 or JSwartzentruber@cityblm.org.
