Man injured in shooting near downtown Bloomington

A shooting Tuesday evening in Bloomington has left one man injured.

Around 7:15 p.m. Bloomington Police responded to a trespassing complaint in the 300 block of East Locust Street. Upon arrival, officers were informed that shots had been fired. Officers soon located a 28-year-old man who had suffered what appeared to be a gunshot wound to an arm. He was transported to Carle BroMenn Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers later located and stopped a vehicle believed to have been involved in the shooting and arrested a 33-year-old male suspect without incident. He was transported to McLean County Jail.

Officers believe the shooting arose from a personal dispute between the two men.
