Illinois State University President Terri Goss Kinzy has tested positive for the coronavirus, according to a university news release.
ISU officials said Kinzy is isolating at home in the university residence and plans to work remotely during her isolation period.
“I am fully vaccinated and boosted and I’m experiencing only mild symptoms,” said Kinzy. “I will miss being able to participate in some welcome events during this exciting time as we approach the start of the new semester.”
Kinzy said her family members have tested negative.
“I urge everyone to continue taking precautions against COVID-19, including vaccinations and boosters,” Kinzy said.
