Juvenile injured in dual shootings in Bloomington

Yellow police tape that says "Police Line Do Not Cross." The text "WGLT Police and Fire" is laid on top of that photo.

Bloomington Police are investigating two gunfire incidents on Wednesday night, including one that left a young person injured.

The first happened around 9:20 p.m. near the Rainbow Circle apartments on the east side, near Veterans Parkway and Clearwater Avenue. No one was injured in that shots-fired incident.

The second incident happened around 10:55 p.m. on De Ville Drive, in the Cardinal Ridge mobile home park on the city's south side. Responding officers found a juvenile male with a gunshot wound at the scene. The juvenile was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are still investigating both incidents, and no arrests have been made. Those with information are asked to contact BPD Detective B. Melton at (309) 434-2537. If you wish to submit a tip and remain anonymous, please contact the Crime & Intelligence Analysis Unit (CIAU) at (309) 434-2963 or email CIAU@cityblm.org.
