Agricultural cooperative Growmark has completed a move to a new corporate headquarters on Towanda Avenue in Bloomington.

The McLean County Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon-cutting on Tuesday to celebrate. The Bloomington office employs around 498 people at that office.

"The benefits of our new facility will also help us provide greater service to our customers and position Growmark to continue to be a premier employer in the Bloomington-Normal community," Growmark CEO Mark Orr said in a news release.

Growmark's move to the Towanda Avenue building puts three key agricultural groups together: Growmark joins the Illinois Farm Bureau and Country Financial at the corporate campus.

Meanwhile, Country Financial plans to sell its buildings and acreage on G.E. Road in Bloomington. Country Financial spokesperson Jennifer McDade said the majority of Country's employees work in a hybrid arrangement, which prompted the company to assess the needs of its workforce.

"As we've done that, we have discovered an opportunity to create a single corporate campus on Towanda Avenue," she said. "When people are coming to the office, they're coming for in-person collaboration and learning."

McDade said Country will do renovations on its Towanda Avenue building, part of a multiyear process expected to unfold between now and 2026.
