Teen shot Monday night near Evergreen Cemetery in Bloomington

A 16-year-old was shot late Monday night in south Bloomington, according to police.

Officers responded to the 900 block of Wright Street, near Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, around 11:30 p.m. They found a male victim who had suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. Officers applied a tourniquet until paramedics arrived to transport him to a nearby hospital.

No additional details are available at this time. Bloomington Police are investigating the incident.
