Thousands of fans from around Illinois flocked to Normal on Thanksgiving weekend for the return of the IHSA football state finals.

Eight state championship games — one for each class 1A through 8A — were held Friday and Saturday at Illinois State University's Hancock Stadium. It was the first time the IHSA football finals were held in Normal since 1998.

WGLT's Emily Bollinger was there for the Class 6A and 7A games on Saturday. Check out the photo gallery above. Cary (Grove) beat East St. Louis, 23-20, in the 6A final. And Chicago's Mt. Carmel beat Downers Grove North, 35-10, in the Class 7A final. Full scores are on the IHSA website.
