Here are 3 things to do for the weekend of Feb. 9-11, 2023, curated by WGLT's Lauren Warnecke. You can find more coverage on our Datebook - Arts & Music page or by subscribing to WGLT's Weekend Scoop email newsletter, which goes out every Friday.

Cat-cows with the big cats: Miller Park Zoo hosts a gentle yoga class suitable for all levels. Make it your second trip to the zoo this week—free Fridays are back for the entire month of February. “Zooga” class 8:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday; tickets $15 available online, with a few spots remaining.

Eat cake with Abe: Celebrate what would have been Honest Abe’s 214th birthday with a bash at David Davis Mansion. The former president will be there (thanks to actor Randy Duncan) for selfies, cake and crafts; volunteers will share stories about Lincoln’s life and his connection to the mansion’s namesake. 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday; free. daviddavismansion.org.

Every Brilliant Thing: There are just two more weekends to catch veteran central Illinois actor Tim Wyman in Heartland Theatre Company’s brilliant “Every Brilliant Thing.” The play navigates through tough material—the sole actor reflects on growing up with a suicidal parent—but manages to leave its audiences with hope and optimism. Through Feb. 17; tickets $19 at 309-452-8709 and heartlandtheatre.org.
