IHSA girls basketball state finals once again hosted in Bloomington-Normal

The IHSA girls basketball state finals will once again be hosted in Bloomington-Normal from Thursday through Saturday at CEFCU Arena.

For the third year in a row, all IHSA classes will be competing the same weekend. Classes 1A and 2A will play their semifinal games on Thursday with Class 1A starting at 9:30 a.m. and Class 2A at 2 p.m. Classes 3A and 4A play their semifinal games on Friday which will follow the same time schedule.

Saturday will feature championship games from all four classes starting with Class 1A at 11 a.m., Class 2A at 1 p.m., Class 3A at 5:30 p.m., and ending the night with Class 4A at 7:30 p.m.

With around 18,000 people expected to attend this weekend, the IHSA finals are expected to have a direct economic impact of $1.4 million, according to the Bloomington-Normal Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Tickets for the state tournament cost $11 and can be purchased online here. They can also be bought at the north entrance of CEFCU Arena with cash only.
