Grossinger Motors Arena in downtown Bloomington is set to go cashless beginning May 1.
That means the venue will only accept cards or mobile payments for tickets and concessions. In a news release, Anthony Nelson, director of arts and entertainment for the city, said the move is meant to “create a safer, more streamlined environment for patrons.”
The release also says the decision was made to reduce wait times in lines, while noting that payments at parking facilities and merchandise areas may still vary depending on the event.
