In tribute to those who have served, the City of Bloomington’s Arts and Entertainment Department has announced a new partnership with the nonprofit organization Vet Tix, to offer free tickets to concerts and other events to military veterans.

This collaboration will open doors for veterans to attend a variety of free performances at the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts [BCPA] and the Grossinger Motors Arena.

Anthony Nelson, director of arts and entertainment for the City of Bloomington, said the city is committed to acknowledging the sacrifices made by veterans and their families.

“We are proud to have the opportunity to connect our heroes with great opportunities to come out and enjoy live events at our venues. Looking forward, we have some excellent shows for the upcoming months, and we are excited to enable local veterans to attend,” Nelson said.

The program not only provides free access to events, but also serves as a platform for veterans to engage with the community, enjoy quality time with family and friends, and experience entertainment and the the arts, Nelson said.

Veterans interested in participating in this program are encouraged to visit Vet Tix’s website or contact the organization directly to learn more about how they can attend upcoming shows.
