Here are 3 things to do for the weekend of Nov. 8-10, 2024, curated by WGLT's Lauren Warnecke. You can find more coverage on our Datebook - Arts & Music page or by subscribing to WGLT's Weekend Scoop email newsletter, which goes out every Friday.

Channel Charlotte, Emily and Anne: Jen Silverman’s 2016 play The Moors came amid a flurry of feminist, revisionist plays revisiting historical time periods through a reverent but skeptical lens (see also: The Revolutionists and Men on Boats). Here, the story of sisters Agatha and Holdey and their moody estate’s governess — in a house with no children — mimics that of the Brontë sisters and the glib English countryside that gave rise to some of history’s finest literature. Through Sunday in the Pritchard Theatre at Eureka College; free tickets with online reservation.

See the area's biggest author fair: Rub elbows with 50 McLean County authors representing a wide range of genres, audiences and publication methods — a great chance for aspiring authors and bibliophiles to find new books, compare notes and network with others. 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Bloomington Public Library; free. bloomingtonlibrary.org.

Postmodern Jukebox I.R.L.: Swing, blues and golden oldie covers of chart-toppers by Macklemore, Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke and Meghan Trainor skyrocketed Postmodern Jukebox’s YouTube channel to the top of everyone’s algorithm. A decade ago, they took the show on the road and they'll stop in Bloomington this weekend for one night — just a handful of tickets remain. 8 p.m. Sunday at Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts; tickets $40-$56 at 309-434-2777 and artsblooming.org.
