Arrest made for drug-induced homicide of Colfax man last year

A McLean County man has been arrested in connection with the death of a Colfax resident last year.

According to Colfax Police, 32-year-old Corey Campbell of nearby Anchor allegedly supplied cocaine to 25-year-old Dawson Boner on Nov. 24, causing his death.

Campbell is charged with drug-induced homicide and two felony counts of delivering narcotics. He is being held at McLean County jail and is scheduled to appear in court for a detention hearing Wednesday afternoon.

Boner was originally from Livingston County and living with his girlfriend in Colfax at the time of his death, police confirmed.
