Doneelah Washington of the Illinois State University women's basketball team celebrates a record-breaking win in Monday's WNIT Super 8 game.

For the fourth time in program history, the Illinois State women’s basketball team has advanced to the WNIT semifinal round.

The Redbirds won, 78-70, against Louisiana Tech Monday night at CEFCU Arena.

Elyce Knudsen set a single-season program three-point record, and set a program single-season record Monday night with five triples.

The Redbirds [24-12] will host the Troy Trojans at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday night at CEFCU Arena.

If ISU secures another victory, it would put the Redbirds in the WNIT championship game for the first time.

Tickets for Wednesday's game go on sale at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
