Track work will block Linden Street rail crossing near Uptown Normal for several days

There will be a railroad crossing closure at the Linden Street crossing near Uptown Normal for railroad work. That work begins at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 29.

All lanes of Linden Street at the railroad crossing near Uptown Normal will be closed beginning at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 29, weather permitting.

Union Pacific will perform railroad work on the tracks. That's expected to be completed by Wednesday, July 2, at 5 p.m.

Traffic will be detoured via Fell Avenue. All effective closures in the area can be found on a map provided by Normal Public Works.

Drivers are urged to use caution while in the area.
