The public can offer feedback about proposed Connect Transit route changes during any of four public meetings this week.
Connect Transit is Bloomington-Normal’s public transit system. It’s considering the following changes to some of its routes:
Yellow/Pink Route: Stop relocations and added service to Northbrook Drive. Travel time will be reduced for several destinations, including from Orlando Drive to Uptown Normal.
Red Express: This route will be discontinued and replaced with a new circulator route named the Mint. The Mint will now serve Menards, Sam’s Club, Pinecrest Apartments (Greenbriar Drive), and Goodwill Industries (Regency Drive).
Blue/Purple Routes: Frequency will be increased from once per hour to every 30 minutes during peak service hours. Blue peak hours: 6-9:30 a.m. and 2:30-5:30 p.m. Purple peak hours: 5:30–9:30 a.m. and 2:30-5:30 p.m.
