COVID-19 outbreak cancels 'Spongebob' performance at Community Players

In a statement, Community Players said a COVID-19 outbreak in the cast is responsible for the cancellation. Ticket holders for the July 17 performance are urged to call the box office after 6 p.m. to reschedule.

Community Players Theatre will be dark Thursday night, as the second weekend of its summer musical was due to begin.

Thursday's performance of The Spongebob Musical has been canceled, according to an announcement from the company, due to a COVID-19 outbreak in the cast.

Ticket holders for the 7:30 p.m. performance on Thursday, July 17, are urged to call the box office at 309-663-2121 after 6 p.m. Thursday to reschedule.

Community Players did not immediately respond regarding the status of Friday through Sunday's performances.
