Bloomington Police are investigating two serious crashes involving motorcycles in the last four days.
Police said a motorcyclist crashed near the intersection of Veterans Parkway and Clearwater Avenue shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday. Police said the driver, an adult male, was found unresponsive in the roadway.
Bloomington Fire Department paramedics took him to the hospital with injuries that authorities described as potentially life-threatening.
Southbound traffic on Veterans Parkway was shut down for several hours from Vernon Avenue to Clearwater as crews investigated. Police said the McLean County Accident Reconstruction Team was brought in to help with the investigation because of the severity of the crash.
Another motorcyclist suffered potentially life-threatening injuries in a crash at Veterans Parkway and Eastland Drive shortly after 10:30 p.m. Sunday. Police have not provided any additional information about that crash.
