A winter storm dumping snow on McLean County has led to hazardous road conditions and event cancellations Saturday.
Snowfall is forecasted to continue through late afternoon, with the area remaining under a winter storm warning until 8 p.m. Saturday evening. Parts of Bloomington-Normal had already seen 5 to 6 inches of snow by 2 p.m., according to snow reports compiled by the National Weather Service.
A snow parking ban remains in effect for all Town of Normal streets until 3 p.m. Sunday. Parking is restricted from snow routes in the City of Bloomington on Saturday.

Holiday Pops in the Heartland: Saturday evening's Illinois Symphony concert is canceled. Tickets may be exchanged for the same concert Sunday evening in Springfield. Patrons may also chose to donate their ticket as a tax-deductible gift or contact marketing and communications director Beth Wakefield for additional options at 217-522-2838 ext. 4.
Amahl and the Night Visitors: MIOpera's 7 p.m. Saturday performance is canceled. Tickets are non-refundable but will be accepted for Sunday's 3 p.m. performance. Questions can be directed to mioperaoffice@gmail.com.
Holy Trinity Catholic Church and Historic St. Patrick Church will not hold Saturday evening mass. Sunday masses are planned as scheduled.
Bloomington Public Library closed early, at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
Normal Public Library is closed.
Miller Park Zoo closed at 12:30 p.m., and WildLights is canceled Saturday. Those who purchased tickets in advance will be contacted by the zoo.
