Carle Health has named Dr. Robert Cavagnol as its new president of the Bloomington-Normal service area. Cavagnol will assume the position on Feb. 2, replacing Colleen Kannaday after 15 years in that role.

The healthcare provider said Cavagnol brings executive leadership experience and clinical experience needing to operate its health system.

“I’m honored to join Carle Health’s Central Region and partner with our physicians, nurses and teams to advance quality, access and patient experience,” Cavagnol said. “Together, we’ll strengthen services in Bloomington-Normal, Eureka and neighboring communities and build on Carle Health’s commitment to bringing high-quality and compassionate care closer to home.”

Cavagnol was selected by Carle Health executive leadership, board members and medical staff through a national search and multistage interview.
