The airport will offer four daily flights, seven days a week, between Bloomington and Chicago.

Starting in May, Central Illinois Regional Airport [CIRA] will restore daily flights through United Airlines to Chicago O’Hare International Airport.

The airport will offer four daily flights, seven days a week, between Bloomington and Chicago.

That's in addition to the twice daily flights American Airlines already offers between CIRA and O'Hare.

Central Illinois Regional Airport Authority Chair Alan Sender said the service will provide regional passengers with more scheduling options and access to United’s broader network, making travel from CIRA more convenient.

CIRA last had United service to O'Hare in 2008.

United Airlines Managing Director of Domestic Network Planning Mark Weithofer said the expanded service is intended to strengthen O’Hare’s role as a Midwest hub and give Bloomington-area travelers greater access to domestic connections.

The service begins May 7, 2026. Tickets will go on sale Jan. 29.
