Bob Odenkirk plays Ulysses in the new film "Normal," being released in April.

Actor Bob Odenkirk is coming to Normal ... to visit the Normal Theater ... and talk about his new film Normal.

Odenkirk will appear in person April 2 at the Normal Theater. After a 7 p.m. screening of the film, Odenkirk will be joined on stage by Normal screenwriter Derek Kolstad for a discussion about the movie. Odenkirk and Kolstad previously collaborated on the Nobody films. WGLT's Ryan Denham will moderate their discussion. Tickets are now available.

Normal is described as a neo-Western thriller. In the film, Odenkirk's character takes over as sheriff in the small Midwestern town of Normal where a “botched bank robbery exposes a dangerous secret beneath the town's calm exterior,” according to the film’s synopsis.

The movie is set in the fictional town of Normal, Minnesota. It was filmed in and around Winnipeg in Manitoba, Canada.

Odenkirk, who grew up in the Chicago area, is best known for his portrayal of Saul Goodman on Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. He also co-created the HBO sketch comedy series Mr. Show with Bob and David.

Normal will be released in movie theaters everywhere April 17.
