BPD Vice Squad Seizes Drugs At Bloomington Convenience Store

A Bloomington convenience store is part of an investigation by the Bloomington Police Department as a location for the alleged distribution of synthetic cannabis, or "spice."

The department's Vice Unit seized the illegal substance at Price Rite Food Mart at Clinton Street and Locust Street. Officers also found 2 handguns, a vehicle, and over $44,000 during searches at the business as well as a residence on Dawn Drive in Peoria. Police charged Naiel Asad, who is being held on a $500,000 bond.
