Bloomington Police are reminding drivers to lock their car doors and don’t leave valuables inside, following a rash of car burglaries.
Police say they received about 10 vehicle burglary calls on Wednesday. Most of them were between 6-9 p.m.
Police say several of the smash-and-grab burglaries were reported at fitness centers. In each case, someone smashed the window, then grabbed the valuables.
Police haven't made any arrests.
BPD urges the public to be on the lookout for anyone lurking around vehicles or acting suspicious in any parking lot.
The department asks if the public sees anyone acting suspicious around cars in any parking lots, call (309) 820-8888. Police ask you get a suspect description, video or photograph while staying at a safe distance.
