Arrest Warrants Made In Connection With 2 B-N Robberies

Bloomington Police have issued an arrest warrant for 39-year-old Toshiro Luttrell of Bloomington.

He is wanted by both Normal and Bloomington police in connection to two armed robberies in the Twin Cities last month. Luttrell is currently in jail in Springfield over a separate incident.

Officers say they are not able to definitively say whether Luttrell is the serial robber dubbed the "Business Bandit," responsible for at least eight armed robberies in the Twin Cities in recent months.

Bloomington Police spokesman John Fermon said what's next for Luttrell is "complicated."

“He’s still in Sangamon County, so he’ll be either housed in Sangamon County or McLean County,” Fermon said. “He’ll have to be transported back and forth for each case.”

While investigating the Jan. 28 robbery at Bloomington’s Check Into Cash, police said they connected Lutrell to a Feb. 5 robbery in Springfield.

A news release indicates a search warrant at Luttrell’s Bloomington residence revealed a stolen firearm.

Bloomington police issued a warrant for Luttrell Friday in connection with the Bloomington Check Into Cash robbery last month.

He is wanted on charges of armed robbery with a firearm, aggravated robbery, and robbery. His bond is set at $500,000.

Normal Police also have a warrant for Luttrell in connection with a Jan. 17 robbery at the Freedom Oil Gas Station on Main Street.

Luttrell is being held in Sangamon County Jail on $250,000 bond.
